Danny Shelton. 17. player. 13.
Shelton is talented enough to go before this point for sure, but his limited scheme fit allows him to fall to a San Diego Chargers team that is happy to see him (assuming they haven’t traded the pick away of course.)

Shelton has faced some questions about his weight and his combine numbers, but does he ever come to play on tape. He’s most noted as a space eater who shuts down opposing running backs, but he’s got the strength and moves to push the pocket and pressure the quarterback if the offensive line isn’t ready for him.

If Shelton does wind up off the board, the arguments favoring a running back are compelling, especially if Todd Gurley slips past Miami. Edge rusher Randy Gregory could also be a consideration, and if they want to stick to defensive line, Texas stand out, Malcom Brown is versatile enough to contribute as an end or nose tackle and wouldn’t have to leave the field on third downs.
. NT. Washington
