CB. Washington. Marcus Peters. 22. player. 55.
I’ve got a gut feeling that the Steelers, once again, forgo adding a cornerback in the first and opt to add to the front seven. Mississippi State defensive lineman, Preston Smith, was the name I came up with, but ultimately I couldn’t justify passing on Peters.

The question with Peters isn’t on field talent, it’s his attitude and the off field issues that arose from it. He was dismissed from the University of Washington football program in November after multiple altercations with the new coaching staff. It’s possible Pittsburgh gets scared away, but the more I read about Peters the less of a problem it seems to be.

Peters owned up to his immaturity, apologized to coach Chris Peterson and was invited to return to the school for their pro day, where Peters was right back to wowing scouts on the field. If Peters is on the board it’s going to be tough for a cornerback needy Steelers team to pass on him.
