Wake Forest. Kevin Johnson. 27. player. 123.
With Gordon and Gurley off the board the Cowboys will look to the defensive side of the ball. Could be another nice spot for Mario Edwards or Preston Smith to sneak into the first round, but I like the value better at cornerback where it’s essentially a toss up between Wake Forest’s Kevin Johnson and UConn’s Byron Jones.

I’m giving the edge to Johnson as he’s the more polished product and could immediately start alongside Orlando Scandrick while Dallas figures out what to do with underachievers Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne. The Cowboys need someone to go head to head with DeSean Jackson, Odell Beckham and Jordan Matthews to stay on top in the NFC East.

Johnson proved hard to shake as a cover man in 2014, and has the smooth hips and straight line speed to hang with the NFC East’s deep threats.
.
