Florida State. Cameron Erving. 28. player. 45.
Erving is a tackle turned center who looks like a plug and play pro bowler at the position. The Broncos have had success with Manny Ramirez lining up at center, but drafting Erving allows the now 32 year old Ramirez to slide back to his natural position, guard, while Denver locks down the center position for the foreseeable future.

While he struggled as a left tackle at Florida State, Erving does have the size and agility to play at tackle in the NFL and could compete for a job at right tackle if that’s where the Broncos are more comfortable keeping Ramirez at center for the remainder of his contract.

Bottom line: Erving is a versatile, athletic lineman who knows the value of protecting a big time quarterback after spending his college career protecting Jameis Winston at Florida State.
.
