2013 Draft Class

1st –  Sylvester Williams
2nd – Montee Ball
3rd –  Kayvon Webster
5th – Quanterus Smith. Tavarres King
6th – Vinston Painter
7th –  Zac Dysert

The 2013 class is by far the weakest of Elway’s career. First round draft pick Sylvester Williams has been a solid but not spectacular addition to the team so far. The good news is that defensive tackles often take a bit more time to adjust to the NFL than other positions so he still has time to grow and mature as a player.

The jury is also still out on running back Montee Ball who was selected in the second round after a spectacular career at Wisconsin. Injuries have kept Ball from truly contributing to the team and he is currently second in the depth chart behind the undrafted CJ Anderson.

Kayvon Webster has only started two games into seasons with Denver and looks to be a wasted pick. Quanterus Smith was recently cut by the Broncos after making little to no impact in his two seasons there. You would be forgiven for not knowing who the final three picks are of that draft class as Tavarres King, Vinston Painter, and Zack Dysert are practically anonymous players and only Dysert is still a member of the Denver Broncos.
