Wide Receivers

Jaelen Strong  —  The 6’2″, 217 pound Arizona State prospect was projected to land with ease in the first round, but come concerns over a fracture in his hand must have scared teams more than we’d expected. After running a surprise 4.44-second 40-yard dash, Strong has the raw complimentary tools to grow into a true number one receiver.

Dorial Green-Beckham  —  The spotlight on Beckham has faded through this process, which is a good thing for him. Despite numerous off-field concerns and the fact that he hasn’t played the game of football recently, one team will fall in love with this potential. At 6’5″, 237 pounds with 4.49-second speed, Green-Beckham may fit best on a quality team with established receivers ahead of him in year one.

Tyler Lockett  —  Kansas State’s competitive star will have a quarterback and head coach falling in love with him this September. His speed and quickness are elevated further by his above-average route-running skills, and Lockett could make a strong rookie impact out of the slot towards the back end of round two or early stages of round three.

Devin Smith  —  Much like Phillip Dorsett of Miami, Devin Smith is the ultimate deep threat. I’d like to see more refinement in his route-running and natural catching abilities, but there is time for growth. On a team with two or three established receivers in place, Smith could take the top off of defenses and really open up the middle of the field.

Keep in mind:  Chris Conley, Sammie Coates
