Interior Defensive Line
Eddie Goldman — Goldman saw his stock thin in recent weeks, largely due to the fact that his frequent projection as a nose tackle gave him little value on many rosters. While he could certainly survive in a 4-3 scheme, I don’t see suitable pocket collapsing abilities or pass-rush. Chicago, who is transitioning into the 3-4 scheme, may look hard at him early in the second.
Jordan Phillips — At 6’5″, 329 pounds, Phillips really should be more dominant than he was at Oklahoma. Although he brings little when rushing the passer, his length and body will intrigue a team in round two. Keep an eye on him, though, because a medical red flag with a 2013 back injury could still be factoring in.
Michael Bennett — Ohio State’s Bennett is a heady prospect with plus instincts that will make for a very solid, albeit somewhat unspectacular, second round selection. His burst off the snap and ability to fight double-teams should give him some appealing scheme versatility.
Carl Davis — Iowa’s 6’5″, 320 pound prospect is an extremely powerful force on the inside when he wants to be. Unfortunately, he disappears for long stretches of the game and reportedly bombed the interview process. It will take the right team and a little bit of hope, but the talent is certainly there.
Keep in mind: Grady Jarrett, Gabe Wright, Mario Edwards Jr.
