4. Green Bay Packers

I’m actually one of the people that thought the Green Bay Packers put together a decent 2015 NFL Draft. However, the grades are in and the “Pack” finished in the back of the pack this time.

Green Bay brought in two talented defensive backs in Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins. Those two players have instantly replenished the Packers’ depth at cornerback and immediately bring some excitement and raw skill to the position. Likewise, fourth round pick Jake Ryan was the inside linebacker that Packers fans were hoping for (even if they didn’t know it at the time). He is a tough guy and will have a chance to start as a rookie in a definite position of need for the Packers.

Although wide receiver Ty Montgomery, the Packers’ third round selection, could be this team’s kick returner this fall and he has the skills to make that unit a force to be reckoned with. Below is how the rest of the nation graded the Packers’ draft.

SB Nation: B
NFL Spin Zone (Joe Soriano): C

As you can see no one is really raving about the Packers’ 2015 NFL Draft. It’s highest grade was a “B+” and it received three “C’s” — no other NFC North received more than one. Green Bay’s general manager, Ted Thompson, is universally regarded as one of the best drafters in the league and I’m sure he is confident in his selections despite the reviews.
