2. Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears came in second place on this ranking of draft grades, but the city of Chicago was the real winner of the 2015 NFL Draft. The event was a home run and “Draft Town” was a sight to see for the thousands of fans that visited (trust me, I took it in for myself). New York City better step up its game if it ever wants to host the draft again.

The Bears made a big splash with the seventh overall pick of the draft when they selected wide receiver Kevin White out of West Virginia. White has a chance to post huge numbers as soon as this fall and he’s definitely an early AP Rookie of the Year candidate. He is incredibly dangerous with the ball in his hands and new head coach John Fox will come up with many ways to make sure that happens often. Chicago also took the massive defensive lineman Eddie Goldman in the second round to sure up its defensive line.

However, it’s running back Jeremy Langford that has my attention. The Bears’ fourth round pick was a sleeper “steal selection” of mine. He has a massive upside and could possibly be Matt Forte’s successor. Possibly. Below is how the rest of the nation graded the Bears’ draft.

ESPN (Mel Kiper): B+
Sports Illustrated: B
Bleacher Report: B+
CBS Sports: B
NFL.com: B
SB Nation: B+
NFL Spin Zone (Joe Soriano): B-

Obviously the general consensus is that the Bears put together a very good 2015 draft. All of their draft grades are in the “B” range and they got the highest grade in the division from draft guru Kiper. Bears fans are digging this draft class, it has a lot of excitement as some big-time positions, but one NFC North team had a better weekend according to the grades.
