Ryan has mix-and-match options because of young backups like Bacarri Rambo, who showed some promise last season in limited snaps (56, per PFF) for the Bills last year after claimed following his release from the Washington Redskins. Touted as a talented safety out of Georgia, Rambo was downright horrible in Washington, and they simply had to get rid of a raw, undisciplined free safety who made no progress and showed off no coverage skills.

However, Rambo seemed to turn it around as a member of the Bills last year, and he received plenty of praise for a memorable two-interception day against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in just his second game with the team.

It’s unclear how many snaps will be there for the taking, but Rambo is a third-year player worth keeping an eye on during training camp. He has raw talent, but he could easily be left off of the 53-man roster if he doesn’t show it in August. Rambo’s awful play in Washington will not be forgotten any time soon, so he’ll have to start making good on his potential.
