Prediction: 75 Receptions, 975 Receiving yards, 7 TD’s

Danny Amendola

This season is a very important season for Amendola. Unless he has a big year, he will most likely not be returning to New England in the 2016 due to the way his contract was restructured. His Cap hit next year would be 6.8 million and I doubt the Patriots will be willing to pay that many to Amendola unless he can play like a low-end No.1 or high-end No.2 wide receiver. He will have to work hard in practice to get more snaps on the field. I think the Patriots are very content with Edelman and LaFell as their top two wide outs, and I think Amendola will not get nearly enough field time to have a big season.

Prediction: 40 Receptions, 510 Receiving yards, 3 TD’s

Aaron Dobson

After a terrible rookie season in which he was still forced to play due to lack of any other capable wide receivers, he basically did not play in his second year. Still, the Pats have hope that Dobson can turn into the player they envisioned him to be when they drafted him in the second round.

They want to believe in him and if he shows improvement in practice he will get playing time in games as well. The preseason will be extremely important for him, as his must prove that is a capable wide receiver who has fixed his issue of drops. I think he will not be able to establish himself and might end up getting a few more snaps than last year, but not too many more.

Prediction: 24 Receptions, 310 Receiving Yards, 1 TD
