If there is any team in the NFL that could be described as a “Bold” team, it would be Jerry Jones‘s Dallas Cowboys. These Cowboys have been bold, brash, loud, surprising, exciting, and provocative. Making Bold Predictions for the Cowboys seems almost like an attempt to come up with some of the most outlandish or most unlikely scenarios possible, because they just might come true.

The Jerry Jones era in Dallas has seen the largest trade in NFL history, the controversial departure of a head coach directly after winning two consecutive Super Bowls, one of the most controversial non-catches in recent NFL history, stolen boxers, baby-sitters for a star wide receiver, a horrible botched snap, and countless other wacky and unexpected occurrences.
This offseason, the Cowboys have already had their fair share of drama. From the release of 2014’s leading rusher DeMarco Murray, to the Adrian Peterson trade rumors, to the complications surrounding Dez Bryant‘s contract, Dallas has been a hub of drama. If there’s anything that we can expect from the 2015 NFL season, it’s that Jerry Jones and the Cowboys will make some waves both on and off the field.

And we couldn’t be more excited.
Before I get started, a word about what makes a prediction ‘Bold’: Bold Predictions are predictions that are actually less likely to come true than they are not to. This doesn’t mean these are random crazy potential scenarios, but rather things that I believe are actually possible, even if they aren’t extremely likely.
Predicting that say, the Dallas Cowboys would rank in the top half in the league defensively in 2014 after many believed they would have one of the worst defenses in NFL History, would have been a bold prediction. Predicting that Dez Bryant would lead the league in receiving touchdowns after being third in 2013, while impressive, would not have been particularly ‘bold’.
These predictions aren’t even necessarily things that I think will happen, but instead are rather unlikely scenarios that I think are very possible, even if they aren’t all that probable. In fact, if more than one of these were to come true I would consider it a modern day miracle.
So here are five bold predictions for the Cowboys in the 2015 season, and remember: you heard it here first.
