5. LT Duane Brown

There aren’t many better and more consistent offensive linemen in the NFL than Duane Brown, who was once one of the league’s most underrated players before gaining national attention in the Texans successful 2012 season. Brown had the eighth-best Pass Blocking Efficiency mark among offensive tackles last season, per Pro Football Focus, and we can expect nothing less than excellence from a man who is 29 and in his prime.

In addition to being an excellent pass protector, Brown makes a big impact in the running game as part of a Texans offensive line that is among the best at paving the way for their running backs. He’s one of the best all-around tackles in the game today, and even though players like Brandon Brooks and Johnathan Joseph have legit cases to be on this list, it would be criminal for Brown not to be named as one of the team’s five most valuable players. In fact, he could have easily been fourth on this list.
