Crowder finds himself in a similar position to that of Grant, as he is now a part of a wide receiving corps that has a lot of talent ahead of him. If Washington’s top three options stay healthy, Crowder will likely find himself battling Grant for reps come game day. That doesn’t mean he can’t make an impact, though.
If one of Washington’s top four options succumbs to injury, there’s a good chance that Crowder would see an increased amount of action in their absence. Injuries aren’t a good thing to hope for though, and I believe that Crowder is capable of producing even if he sees little playing time on offense.
“Punt returns are something that I’ve, you know, been doing ever since middle school ball, and high school ball,” Crowder said to Larry Michael on Redskins Nation. “I led the state one year, my junior year I believe, and then in college I was given the opportunity to go back there and, you know, field a few punts, and return a few. In college punt returner was a weapon that we used.”

The rookie wideout will have to take advantage of every opportunity to prove his worth. Don’t be surprised if Crowder makes some noise on the special teams unit this year.
