The Chicago ground attack can rebound from a very disappointing year. In 2013, Bears running back Matt Forte finished second in the NFL in rushing yards (1,339). This past season, the team combined for just 1,441 yards on the ground. That total ranked 27th in the league in 2014.

While Forte’s forte in 2014 was not running the ball, he did set a new NFL record for receptions by a running back in a season with 102 catches.

This season, new head coach John Fox and new offensive coordinator Adam Gase are both hoping that a pair of newcomers can spell the former Pro Bowler. The team added free-agent running back Jacquizz Rodgers from the Atlanta Falcons and drafted Jeremy Langford (Michigan State) in the fourth round.

In any case, a better ground game should help quarterback Jay Cutler. And speaking of which…
