2. Flacco Struggles to Connect
Against the Eagles, quarterback Joe Flacco was anything but elite. He looked like a rookie playing in his first game. Luckily, it’s only the preseason and Flacco can recover from his poor performance before the real football games begin.

After the run looked to find success against the Eagles on their first drive, Flacco threw the first of two interceptions when he aired the long ball near the goal line. On the very next drive Flacco’s inaccurate pass found an Eagles defender. When Flacco wasn’t throwing interceptions, he was having trouble connecting with his receivers. It wasn’t due to the players not running routes correctly, but rather Flacco’s accuracy being poor for the entire time he was out there. Yes, he did have some good passes, but the majority of them were way off the mark.
In preseason week three where the starters traditionally play the longest of all four preseason games, Flacco most show improvement over his play against the Eagles. It was a nightmarish performance by Flacco, but in the grand scheme of things his performance on Saturday doesn’t matter.
