With all preseason games, it isn’t a big deal if the Dallas Cowboys win or lose because in less than two weeks, none of us, or the rest of the NFL, will care. All that matters in Week 3 of the preseason is how well the unit plays as a team, and if all of the kinks have been worked out from the offseason.

Going into the third week, we had seen very little from starting quarterback Tony Romo, and even less from wide receiver Dez Bryant (who we’ve yet to see this preseason) and basically the actual starting line as an entire unit on offense.
That’s fine, because with the recent epidemic of ACL and MCL tears in the NFL, I’d rather take my chance with Bryant being a little rusty in the first quarter or half of the first regular-season game, rather than ending up like Jordy Nelson of the Green Bay Packers and unfortunately watching the entire season from the sideline.
Just from watching this game, I’m still not sold as much as I used to be with the running game – not because of the offensive line, but more of the factor of whether any of the three backs take advantage of running behind such a talented offensive line such as the one the Cowboys possess. Like always, more on that later.
Speaking of that offensive line, it was good to see four of the five starters (minus Zack Martin) play as a complete unit. The offensive line of the Cowboys could be the best part of this entire team in ’15, and that’s saying something with the likes of Romo and Bryant on offense, and the potential the front seven of the defense the Cowboys have on their roster.
With the dress rehearsal, a 28-14 loss to the Vikings in the official preseason record books, here are five things that caught my attention from that contest.
