Houston Texans: More From “Hard Knocks”

2) Charles James II is quickly becoming one of my favorite players
And I’m not the only one. Erin Andrews looked positively star-struck on the field before the Texans’ game against the New Orleans Saints. She handled the Richard Sherman interview better than that one (granted, she wasn’t interviewing James).
James has been one of the highlights of both “Hard Knocks” and the Texans’ training camp. His colorful personality (literally shown by his choice of socks), competitive play, and willingness to play any position has certainly earned him the respect of football fans around the country. There may not be a spot at corner for James – but his contributions on special teams and perhaps the odd snap at running back should help him earn a roster position. I’ll be rooting for him (just don’t let him call plays late in the game – what a terrible decision on that late-game end zone interception in his hilarious Madden 16 game vs. Odell Beckham Jr.)
