Green Bay Packers WR Ty Montgomery
With Jordy Nelson out for the season and Jeff Janis apparently not trustworthy enough for Aaron Rodgers (despite the fact that all Janis does is score touchdowns in the preseason), Ty Montgomery is penciled in as the Packers No. 3 receiver behind Randall Cobb and Davante Adams.
Using the limited and often unreliable sample-size of preseason data we have on our hands, Montgomery has looked raw, but he’s been better than I expected. This is a guy who is absolutely electric with the ball in his hands, and few rookies on the offensive side of the ball are as quick or have as much lateral agility as him.
If he can continue to show that his hands are better than advertised, and if he can, more importantly, get open on a consistent basis, then Rodgers will have a fun time getting him the ball in open space.
