This is the moment every football fan has been waiting for since Super Bowl XLIX, it’s Week 1 of the NFL’s regular season. After a 0-2 start the Seahawks won their final two games and finished preseason with a 2-2 record.

There were plenty of good points to take away from the Seahawks’ offseason. The most notable were the performances of highly talented rookies Frank Clark (Defensive lineman) and Tyler Lockett (Wide receiver).

Lockett showed he has the ability to be a game changer on offense and in the return game at the pro level. Clark was a beast in every position on the defensive line; he caused havoc in the backfield and showed that he has great versatility.

The Rams went 0-4 in preseason and struggled in some key areas, especially the offensive line and in the run game. We all know that preseason records are generally poor indicators of how much success a team will achieve during the regular season. Both the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings went undefeated during the 2014 preseason, and neither finished above .500.

Since the 2005 season, the Seahawks are 17-3 against the Rams, which includes a 10-game win streak but the Rams have faired a lot better over the past three seasons. The Seahawks go to St. Louis as clear favourites, but as history has shown us there are no guarantees and this if the NFL and anything can happen. Here are 3 things to watch for when the Seahawks take on the Rams in St. Louis Sunday at 10:00am PST.
