12. Zach Ertz (Philadelphia) vs. New York Jets

The Philadelphia offense can’t be terrible all year right? Right? Right guys? I guess we’ll have to wait and see, but I expect the Eagles to get on track at some point, and that may just be this week against New York.

With Darrelle Revis on the outside, quarterback Sam Bradford may need to look elsewhere with the ball and that could be to his big tight end Zach Ertz in the middle. I don’t know if I’d be brave enough to start him in a standard league, but he’s got a lot of upside in an offense that could be very potent.

11. Jared Cook (St. Louis) vs. Pittsburgh

The Steelers have been unable to slow down tight ends this season, and Jared Cook leads his team in targets, receptions, and yards. Those numbers aren’t particularly high, and Cook still hasn’t found the end zone yet, but I think that will change in Week 3. Look for Cook to have a big week against the Steelers. He’s my breakout pick of the week, and I think this could be the first great game in what may be Cook’s breakout year.
