20. Matthew Stafford (Lions) vs Denver
This is a pretty tough matchup considering Stafford is unsurprisingly banged up already and the Bronco’s defense has been stout early on. Honestly, Stafford just makes this list because he has higher upside than the rest of the field, but you’re better off trying to find somebody else on this list — at least for this week, or when Stafford gets healthier.
19. Marcus Mariota (Titans) vs Indianapolis
Rookies Mariota and Jameis Winston flipped the script last week with Winston having a decent outing and Mariota regressing to the norm. Protection was horrible for the former Oregon quarterback, who was sacked seven times and fumbled twice. Things won’t be getting much easier despite having four straight home games — it’s all against decent competition. There’s still some value here, but I’d be worried about Indianapolis being desperate to get their first win of the season.
