The NFL Playoff Picture is still as murky as ever due to key injuries, seven (seven!) 3-0 teams, and the mere fact of the AFC South’s existence. However, Week 3 did allow us to return to some degree of sanity after a topsy-turvy Week 2 that saw the football world turned upside down.

Starting this week and up until the end of the season, this space will feature the official playoff standings. No more personal preferences like in the first two weeks, that was fun while it lasted.

In the NFC, the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals are undefeated and the undisputed cream of the crop, even if the standings show Carolina on top so far.

They set their own bar and don’t lower it for anybody, as the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs found out last weekend.

In the AFC, the New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals stood out in two different ways.

The Patriots made the Jacksonville Jaguars feel like kittens, while the Bengals engaged in a street brawl with the Baltimore Ravens and emerged victorious after causing more than one heart attack for their fan base as they also remain undefeated.

Let’s start with the AFC Bubble Teams, a category that sees the Oakland Raiders make a surprising appearance considering what the expectations were after their disastrous Week 1 loss.
