2. Bengals defensive line will contain Russell Wilson
One of the main focuses of opposing defenses that play the Seattle Seahawks is finding ways to contain Russell Wilson. There may not be a better dual-threat quarterback in the league right now. He has precision passing in the pocket, but is most dangerous once he is outside of the lines.

In the ‘Hawks Monday night victory over the Detroit Lions, Wilson had a very good passing night going 20 of 26 for 287 yards and 1 touchdown, while receiving a passer rating of 125. On the surface, it seemed as though Wilson was not to blame for Seattle only scoring 1 touchdown on the night, but that’s not the case. Detroit’s defense was able to contain Wilson throughout the night.
Wilson was sacked 6 times for 52 yards and while the offensive line wasn’t much help, there were multiple times when Russell just held the ball too long or made the wrong play in the pocket. On top of that, Wilson fumbled 2 times, 1 of which led to a scoop and score for Detroit’s only touchdown. If it wasn’t for the officials missing a game-changing call at the end of the 4th quarter, the Lions may would probably secured the upset at CenturyLink Field.
It’s safe to say that the Bengals have a better overall defensive line that the Lions, so I expect more of Russell Wilson running around for his life this upcoming Sunday. Geno Atkins is back to playing at his Pro Bowl level and with guys like Michael Johnson and Domata Peko coming off great games against the Chiefs, it will be very tough for Seattle to slow down this line. With how composed and technically-sound Russell Wilson is, the Bengals will need to find a way to contain him in order to remain unbeaten.
