“The Bengals Are a Big Threat to the Steelers Playoff Chances”
The Steelers are currently in second place in the AFC North behind the 4-0 Bengals. The Bengals have looked very good this year and all of their victories so far have come against the AFC. Four weeks into the season and the Bengals control the AFC North. If they continue to win against the AFC and take care of business in their division the Bengals will not only win their division but they could get a first round bye.
The Steelers will be chasing them all season, but this week could be an opportunity to make up a game. The Bengals host the Seahawks this week while the Steelers travel to San Diego. Division record is important and so is conference record when it comes to tie breakers. The Steelers are currently 0-1 in their division and 0-2 against the AFC. It’s imperative that the Steelers start winning against their AFC opponents to stay relevant in the playoff race. The last thing the team wants is to miss out on the playoffs because of a head to head game or division record.
