If you heard a player being compared to Dez Bryant could potentially be available in the 2016 NFL Draft that would probably grab your attention, right?

Well, that is the case with LaQuon Treadwell, a 6’2” and 212-pound junior lighting up defenses in the heart of the SEC. Unfortunately known for a grotesque injury that ended his sophomore season last year, Treadwell is a very productive receiver despite never finding his way to the top of any receiving categories.

Coming into the 2015 season, Treadwell posted numbers in his first two seasons of 120 receptions, 1,240 yards and 10 touchdowns in 22 games. However in 2015, Treadwell is finally putting up the numbers to match the hype—as through six games he has 35 receptions for 510 yards and three touchdowns. On Saturday against New Mexico State, Treadwell caught eight passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns in his best effort of the season. Oh, and in case you were wondering—he had five receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown against the NFL-ready defense down in Alabama.

So what type of receiver is Treadwell?

Well, that is difficult to pinpoint because he can truly do it all. You can line him up on the inside and outside, throw it up to him and let him go get it or throw him a quick-screen and let him go to work with the ball in his hands. The comparisons to Bryant could end up being very accurate, as he is the type of guy who could change your offense from day one and should be the first wide receiver selected in the 2016 NFL Draft.
