Okay, so this play obviously comes with a major asterisk because Gillmore is currently questionable for Sunday’s game against the 49ers. But if he goes, he has a ridiculous value on DraftKings ($2,700) and is likely sitting in the free agent pool in your normal league.
The 49ers boast the No. 24 overall defense against tight ends in the league according to DraftKings (No. 22 on ESPN in my fantasy league), but are trending the wrong direction with their play against them—which is good for Gillmore owners. In their last two games against Green Bay and the New York Giants, they have given up 15-plus fantasy points in each game, including a touchdown in each game as well.
Though he has been out the last two weeks, Gillmore still ranks as a Top 20 fantasy tight end in most circles, mainly thanks to the lofty numbers he put up in Week 2 against Oakland’s poor tight end defense. With Baltimore deprived of their top-tier receiving options at this time, if Gillmore is healthy enough to play you cannot ignore his 10 receptions on 13 targets for 151 yards and two touchdowns in just three games this season.
