Slow Start

Once again, the Bills got off to a slow start. Maybe it was the jet lag, the long flight, or spending a week away from their normal digs in the Buffalo area. Whatever it was doomed the Bills as they couldn’t connect offensively. It put more pressure on the Bills defense to step up even though they couldn’t see the field due to the Jags getting turnovers and points frequently.

The Bills only scored three points in the first half and did lead after 15 minutes of play. However, Jacksonville woke up in the second quarter and blew it wide open. It looked like the Bills were going to be humiliated on the road, but they took a lead in the fourth quarter. They have now lost three of the last four mainly due to slow starts, turnovers, and sloppy play.

When the Bills team evaluates the game and looks at the film, the slow first quarter and first-half of the second half will be a big reason the team failed to secure a win heading into the bye week.
