EJ Manuel Is Not a Starting QB
Remember all those people who disagreed when Rex Ryan picked Tyrod Taylor to start over EJ Manuel? Well, they look like fools right now. Manuel’s first half was horrible and looked like it was going to cost the team the game.
He showed maturity and leadership in the second half, but this is still Tryod Taylor’s team when he comes back from his injury. It was good to see Manuel learn from his first-half blunders as he cut down his turnovers in the second half. He still showed issue with not connecting accurately with his teammates, but he had moments of great play by connecting deep. On one of these plays he helped the Bills cut the deficit to three points.
Manuel is nowhere near a starting quarterback still. He shows life, but then very soon thereafter he negates a big play with poor play. One day Manuel might be a starting quarterback. However, given the turnovers today that cost his team points, he isn’t there just yet.
Down the stretch with the game on the line, Manuel tried to throw the ball to his left. He wasn’t even set up probably with his shoulders. On top of that, Manuel is right-handed and he and the coaching staff needs to use that to their strengths.
