Blake Bortles
Despite throwing a pick six late in the fourth quarter, Blake Bortles kept his cool and delivered perfect throw to Allen Hurns for the game winning touchdown.
Bortles struggled immensely his rookie year, and there were perhaps doubts on him being the man going forward. All those doubts have been laid to rest.
The second year quarterback has already thrown for 15 touchdowns this season and over 1,800 yards. He’s already on pace to shatter most single season Jaguars passing records.
Bortles can still work on reducing his mistakes and improving his accuracy, but the jump he made from year 1 to 2 shows he can do that. At the end of last season, Bortles was a part of the lower echelon quarterbacks in the National Football League. This season, his play puts him in the upper middle. Look for Bortles to take that next step into the upper echelon in the future.
