If there is any player more impressive than Teddy Bridgewater so far this season, it’s tough to see who it is. With Adrian Peterson performing well, any game manager quarterback could help get the Minnesota Vikings to the playoffs, but Bridgewater is showing he’s able to do so much more than just manage a game.

His Week 7 performance saw Bridgewater complete 71.4 percent of his passes (once again rising above his goal of 70 percent) en route to 316 yards and two touchdowns. It was just his fourth 300 yard game of his career and his second of those without an interception.
Bridgewater continues to prove his value and Week 7 was another example of this. He is proving to be more than just an accurate passer who can complete 70 percent of 20 passes in each game. He can be relied upon to complete 70 percent of his passes with significant attempts. His 35 attempts against Detroit were his seventh most of his career and the third time he completed at least 70 percent of his passes with at least 30 attempts in a game.
All in all, the Vikings couldn’t ask for much better performance from their franchise quarterback. Bridgewater continues to show again and again that he can rise to the occasion.
Perhaps the most important thing to draw from this game is that the Minnesota Vikings will easily transition from being “Adrian Peterson’s team” to “Teddy Bridgewater’s team” without missing a beat. That transition is already occurring and Bridgewater’s team is responding well to his leadership.
