5. WR Keenan Allen, San Diego Chargers

Last week, we tabbed Houston Texans wideout DeAndre Hopkins in this spot. On Sunday at Miami, his streak of four straight 100-yard receiving games came to an end in a 44-26 loss to the Dolphins.

Early this season, we saw Atlanta Falcons wideout Julio Jones and Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown get off to strong starts only to fade somewhat as of late due to various circumstances. But both are starting to make comebacks.

Meanwhile, the player actually leading the NFL in receptions these days is San Diego’s Keenan Allen, who’s hauled in 62 passes for 690 yards and three touchdowns. Those totals come on just 84 targets while Allen has totaled at least 12 catches three times in seven games this year.

Yes, it’s been a disappointing start for the Bolts. But Allen has put a wrench into a lot of team’s defensive plans this season.
