3. QB Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
Yes, the numbers have been far from awe-inspiring as of late for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers as of late. But you have to look at the total picture when it comes to the prolific signal-caller, who has now thrown for 53 scores and been picked off only seven times in his last 22 regular-season outings dating back to 2014.
Two weeks ago, Mike McCarthy’s team raised its record to 6-0 with a 27-20 victory over the very-game San Diego Chargers. During the team’s perfect start this season, Rodgers has thrown for 1,491 yards and 15 touchdowns while turning over the football only three times (2 interceptions, 1 lost fumbles) – all of those miscues in the Week 5 win over the St. Louis Rams. In other words, he’s played turnover-free football in all but one game in 2015.
We have a tendency to repeat these numbers but frankly, they keep getting better. In his last 62 regular-season outings, Rodgers has thrown 154 touchdown passes and been picked off only 27 times.
