Although the Atlanta Falcons are no longer perfect when it comes to their win-loss record, they have now won six games in 2015 – equaling last season’s victory total. And running back Devonta Freeman remains on a roll in his second NFL season.
The former Florida State Seminole now leads the NFL in rushing yards (621) and total yards from scrimmage (931). On Sunday in an ugly 10-7 win at Tennessee, Freeman ran 25 times for 166 yards – the third straight game and fourth time in five weeks he’s hit the 100-yard mark on the ground.
Talk about a hot stretch? Over his last five outings, the 2014 fourth-round pick has amassed 578 rushing yards (8 touchdowns), caught 27 passes for 247 yards (1 touchdown) and reached the end zone nine times.
It could be a long day for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
