Integrity is a Joke in the NFL
Goodell talks about the integrity of the game and protecting the shield, but his very own actions show lack of integrity. The Patriots are a prime example. Let’s be honest for a second. The Patriots probably didn’t need to cheat to win their titles but maybe they did. They didn’t need to video tape opposing teams practices and they didn’t need to deflate balls or steal things from player’s locker rooms. Unfortunately, they did and they got caught and that will forever be a part of their legacy outside of Boston.
To make things worse, Goodell destroys the tapes which would have been some pretty damning evidence that would tarnish the Patriots Super Bowl win. Instead Goodell tarnished his own legacy and the people’s trust in him and the NFL. To add to the circus he blows up the “DeflateGate” scandal by trying to throw the book at the Patriots. How can he promote integrity in public when he’s trying to bury and hide things from the people who help pay for his $30 million plus a year salary.
