Quality of the Game in Question
Is the quality of every NFL game in question? I’m not just talking about trying to watch a 49ers game today, I’m talking about in general. There are so many rules in place that can be defined in so many ways that take away from the quality of the game. Does anyone know what a catch is anymore? Does the NFL’s fear and paranoia of concussions really mean they have to call a flag on most every big hit even if it’s legal? Is that leading to more lower leg injuries?
When is the last time you saw a quality Thursday Night Football game? Those are hard to watch because most players are still trying to recover from the beating they took on Sunday and it’s hard to install a game plan and travel in less than three days. England games are fun but you’re making players travel across the world and play before most people in the West Coast can wake up and grab their Starbucks. Quality gets thrown out the window when there is money to be made or saved in the NFL.
