#3 Doug Martin
Doug Martin is back! He’s having a career year as he’s already eclipsed his rushing totals from the last two years. Martin has exploded back onto the scene and is currently 4th in the league in rushing. His 4.6 yards per carry is one of the best for running backs who have rushed 100 times or more. His three touchdowns are as much as Adrian Peterson, Toddy Gurley and Chris Johnson. Martin is having one heck of a year.
His success has led the Buccaneers to last place in the NFC South. They’re good enough to not have the worst record in the league and just bad enough to not be a good team. Tampa Bay has some impressive wins this year and have played teams close, but they have two losses of 10 points or more to AFC South teams. If you are losing to the Titans and Texans, something isn’t right. Despite Martin’s stats this year, they aren’t helping the team win very much. The Muscle Hamster might just be running on a hamster wheel as him and the Bucs aren’t getting anywhere this year.
