He’s done as much with less

There’s a reason why Brady is seen as the consensus MVP pick at this stage of the season, and it goes beyond his gaudy 113.5 QB Rating and 68.6% completion percentage. We’ve seen Brady pull off absolutely stunning feats in the past without as good pass-catchers around him, and while he doesn’t have the most mind-boggling weapons on his side, he still has Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, and LaFell at his disposal without Lewis around.

Heck, backup tight end Scott Chandler is someone worth keeping in mind, because we know how good Brady is at making the best out of every player around him.

Lewis is one of the NFL’s best receiving backs and one of the league’s most agile weapons, but Brady can allow any style of pass-catcher to thrive in this high-octane Patriots offense. Life will be more difficult for him, yes, but even without Lewis in Week 7 and a bevy of drops against an elite defense, he still managed to carry his team to victory.
