Offensive Line: B-

Overall, the New York Jets’ offensive line has looked good. Most notable has been the pass protection, as they have given up a mere nine sacks over the first eight games. In the early part of the year, they were leading Chris Ivory to over 100 yards per game on the ground. James Carpenter has been the best guard that D’Brickashaw Ferguson has played with in years, giving him the opportunity to do his job at tackle and not have to compensate for the guy next to him.

Over the last few weeks, however, the line has suffered without Nick Mangold and even Willie Colon. Yes, the same Willie Colon that New York Jets’ fans wanted out of town. With Mangold in and out of the lineup, and without Willie Colon, the Jets have had great difficulty getting the running game going. Thankfully, they are still 5-3, but the offensive line had best to figure out the run game soon or things will change.
