Every state has an NFL player that truly left an impact on the game of professional football. Whether they’re retired or still active, each state should be proud to have been the birthplace of greatness thanks to these athletes.
From prolific quarterbacks to power running backs, these NFL athletes have put in the work and earned incredible achievements to ensure they put their birthplace on the map. Whether it was due to their clutch performances or what they did in the Super Bowl, these athletes rose to the occasion and delivered most when their teams needed it.
Of course, with any ranking featuring every state’s best NFL player, it’s all a matter of opinion in the grand scheme of things. Being a native New Yorker and watching professional football for well over three decades, these are all the legendary players that stood out the most to me based on where they were born.
Without further adieu, here are the best NFL players from every state of the United States of America based on my own opinions on athletes I grew up watching and those I’ve only heard legendary stories about.
50. Best NFL Player Born in Wyoming – Jack Snow
Wide receiver Jack Snow was originally drafted by the Minnesota Vikings but was shortly traded to the Los Angeles Rams at the time. It was a mistake on the part of the Vikings as the minute he arrived, he immediately stepped up and earned a starting spot on the Rams.
Once he got a few years under his belt, the Wyoming star use to average 17.7 yards per reception in his career and was always known as the player that got you a much-needed big-play or first down. It’s what he was known for when he spent his entire 10-year career with the Rams.
In addition to playing professional football, he was also known for taking his talents to sports talk radio for the Rams and other forms of sports media. His natural love of sports made him a fun and genuine talk show analyst.
