But the good news on Sunday wasn’t about a lone W. It was also about a big L that the Green Bay Packers (6-3) earned in their first loss at home to the Detroit Lions (2-7) in what feels like centuries (literally decades, though).
Now that the Packers have fallen to the Lions, the Vikings (7-2) are now alone at the top of the NFC North.
Through the strength of a stunning defense, Teddy Bridgewater’s careful guidance of the offense, Adrian Peterson’s 2000-yard form, and Mike Zimmer’s inspiring leadership, this Vikings team has arrived.
