4) Mike Zimmer, head coach, Minnesota Vikings
While not a player for the Minnesota Vikings, the work that Mike Zimmer has put in should not go unnoticed.
In a week that saw Zimmer’s Vikings leapfrog the Green Bay Packers, credit needs to be given. The Vikings are atop the NFC North and look poised to do some serious late-season damage before a comfortable spot in the playoffs awaits them.
All those rewards are the results of hard work and dedication by everybody on the Vikings team and everything circles back to the head coach.

Zimmer has been given some great pieces to work with and he has molded this team into a contender quickly. It isn’t just a contender with a short window, either. This is a team that is young, professional, and opening a window that can extend for many years to come.
Hats off to Mike Zimmer for the work that is finally yielding fruit. There’s still plenty left to be done, but he’s proving that the faith in him is well deserved.
