I can’t say I know a lot about Wentz as I don’t watch much, if any, North Dakota State football, but in writing this article, I found the following video from a game against Montana:

The NDSU quarterback is tabbed right now as a third-round selection with some loving his arm strength, while he still has some work to do on his checks as he gives away where he’s throwing the football, according to Dane Brugler.

Wentz has missed some games this season due to a wrist injury, but in six games this year, he’s completed 114 passes (179 attempts) for 1,454 yards, 16 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. As a junior, he played in 16 games, where he passed for 3,111 yards for 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

FCS Football has this in his player bio:

"“Kept North Dakota State’s dynasty going in 2014, leading Bison to a record fourth straight FCS national title while scoring the winning touchdown and earning Most Outstanding Player honors in the championship game”"

I’m not saying the Cowboys should or shouldn’t draft Wentz, who stands at 6-6 and weighs 235 pounds, as there is still a lot of football left to be played this season, but he’s worth keeping a eye on as we all begin to look at prospects we know will be available in the draft.
