Brandon Marshall will outplay Odell Beckham Jr.

So we jump right to “Final Jeopardy” with this one.  Odell Beckham is one of the top young receivers in the game today.  Yes, he gets a lot of attention for the highlight reel catches that he makes, but he is far from a one hit wonder.  After a rookie campaign of 91 catches, 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns, OBJ has backed it up with 71 receptions, 1,005 yards and nine touchdowns.  He is on his way to racking up the most receptions a receiver has ever posted over their first two seasons.

Brandon Marshall is in the midst of one of the best receiving seasons a New York Jets’ receiver has posted in decades.  So fa, Marshall has racked up 71 receptions for 931 yards and nine touchdowns.  He has had his share of drops, but has been a key weapon for the Jets in the red zone.  After some down weeks, Marshall was huge against Miami, with nine catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns.

That rebound will continue, and he will outplay OBJ on Sunday.

Some might think it’s crazy.  Darrelle Revis is out, and Marcus Williams is doubtful.  But that is what will work against Beckham.  The Jets are so thin on the outside this week, they will have to do extra in the scheme department to shut him down.  They will show him multiple looks, such as Man, Zone, Cover 2, Single High Safety, and rotate throughout the game.  Beckham won’t see the same look more than two times in a row, and the confusion will cause him to have an off game, and be outplayed by the Jets’ leading receiver.
