The Dallas Cowboys can make a difference in the race for the NFC East title on Monday night as they face the Washington Redskins on the national stage in a game between two teams with losing records, but with a lot on the line.

If the Cowboys win, they continue to stay in the race for the NFC East championship, especially since the New York Giants lost to the New York Jets in overtime and the Philadelphia Eagles won against the New England Patriots, creating even more confusion at the top of the division standings.

Going into Monday night’s game, the Giants and Eagles are each 5-7 overall, and the Redskins are 5-6, while the Cowboys are 3-8. A win by the Cowboys would bring them to being one game back of the rest of the division.

Then again, if the Cowboys lose, they would be three games back with four games to go, all but ending any hope of repeating as division champions.

So I’m going to say this is a “must-win” game for the Cowboys, and that’s something they’ve not done much of this year. Considering they have just the aforementioned three wins and have lost eight of their past nine games, mostly playing with quarterbacks who should be watching the games like we are, a win will not come easily for the last-place Cowboys.

With that said, here are my “5 Bold Predictions” for the Dallas Cowboys this Monday night, as that game will be aired on ESPN at 8:30 p.m. ET.
