QB Sam Bradford

Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk reported that Chip Kelly said that they traded McCoy because they had to free up money for Sam Bradford.

Key the funny jokes now…WOW!

Nothing like giving up your all-time leading rusher to add an overpriced and overrated quarterback who is in the final year of his contract and coming off of yet another torn ACL.

That sounds like something you would do to the friend you have in your fantasy football league every year just because he always loses and will trade you anyone on his team.

Bradford has been terrible this year and even though he played “okay” as of late, he is not even close to a franchise quarterback.

He has thrown for 2,664 yards, only 14 touchdowns, but 11 interceptions in 11 games this season. If you look at his play over the course of his career, added by his mediocre first season with Philly; Bradford is not a player you trade your all-time leading rusher to clear up cap space to acquire.

To make matters worse, the Eagles “tried” to replace McCoy…
