5. Make Brock Osweiler Beat You

Osweiler’s current record as a starter in 2015 is 3-1 but don’t let that record fool you. He has been nothing more than a game-manager. He hasn’t been asked to go out and win any games by putting the offense on his back. Instead, he has simply been asked to not lose any games for the team.

In his four games as the Broncos’ starter, he is averaging one touchdown pass per game.

Over the last two games, the Broncos’ defense has produced just as many touchdowns (1) as Brock Osweiler.

Last week, he threw he ball a total of 51 times and could not manage to score a single touchdown.

When you have the #1 ranked defense in the NFL (as the Broncos do) you can afford to get away with mediocre quarterback play. An average run game and the ability to not turn the ball over will allow the defense to make game-changing plays. Denver’s defense has accomplished this many times this year even when Osweiler wasn’t the team’s starting QB.

The Steelers need to continue their stellar play against the run (6th in the NFL) and force Brock Osweiler to beat them with his arm. If they force him to throw, the sacks will come (eight in their last two games) and so will the turnovers (six in their last two games).
