player. 35. Just because it is the most obvious, does not mean it is the wrong pick. The Tennessee Titans are clearly in a rebuild mode, and have to build their franchise around quarterback Marcus Mariota.

The Titans took Mariota with the second overall pick last year, and while his rookie season was up-and-down, he clearly showed the upside to be a legitimate franchise quarterback. The Titans should have full confidence that they have the quarterback position on lock.

With quarterback not an issue, this pick comes down to three players for the Titans in my eyes. Joey Bosa is considered by many to be the top player in this draft class. If the Titans believe that, they may go in that direction, but I think the gap between Bosa and the two top-tier offensive linemen are close enough for the Titans to draft to fill an obvious need.

Ronnie Stanley may also be an option here, but in the end I think left tackle Laremy Tunsil wins out for the Titans. Tunsil is an incredibly talented offensive lineman with an impressive combination of foot quickness, athleticism and natural strength. His quickness and athleticism are clearly elite for an offensive lineman and it leads to him being a great pass protector.

While his athletic ability stands out, Tunsil also has a mean streak to him that many believe is necessary to succeed as an offensive lineman in the NFL. He is an extremely physical player who can absolutely dominate defensive players with his raw strength and power.

The Titans allowed an NFL-leading 54 sacks in 2015. They simply must get better at protecting Mariota, and drafting Tunsil to play left tackle would be a massive step in the right direction. Tunsil is also a strong run blocker and would undoubtedly improve the Titans’ 25th ranked rushing attack.

Placing Tunsil at left tackle would move Taylor Lewan to right tackle, and greatly improve the two most important positions on the offensive line. Stanley, Bosa and trade down options will be considered, but in the end simply selecting a franchise left tackle in Tunsil is the best move for Tennessee.
. OT. Ole Miss. Laremy Tunsil. 1.01
