26. A team clearly hurt with injuries, the Baltimore Ravens limped to a 5-11 record this season. While they will likely return to their successful ways next season, the Ravens hold the sixth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. This is the highest pick the Ravens have earned since they selected LB Peter Boulware with the fourth overall pick of the 1997 NFL Draft.

This high of a selection will probably just be a one year thing for the Ravens, but General Manager Ozzie Newsome will likely take this opportunity and add some serious impact talent to the Ravens’ roster. Newsome always finds value in his selections, and will not reach based on position needs.

The most obvious need on the Ravens’ roster is probably in the secondary. They could certainly use some talent reinforcements at both safety and the cornerback positions. Jalen Ramsey would be an ideal choice, but he is already off of the board, as is Vernon Hargreaves.

I could see CB Mackensie Alexander being an option, but this may be a tad early for him, and the Ravens will not reach. Alexander is incredibly talented, but he is inconsistent and unproven. Selecting him at number six overall is a reach in my opinion.

More than anything, the Ravens are going to be looking for value with this rare early pick, and offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley fits that bill well.

With ideal size (6-foot-6, 315 pounds), physicality and athleticism, Stanley is a truly elite offensive tackle prospect. He is a technically sound blocker who shows good foot quickness and a serious nasty streak.

Stanley is a great run blocker who can not only maul opposing defenders, but shows the necessarily foot speed to reach the second-level with regularity. He also excels as a pass protector, using his incredible length and great technique to perfection a majority of the time.

Stanley is a true left tackle prospect, but he could certainly step in as a right tackle if needed as well. The Ravens do not have huge needs at the tackle position, but drafting Stanley would allow them to get more talented and younger at the position. Whether he starts out at left tackle or they ease him in at right tackle, the Ravens would have a stud in the making on the offensive line.
. OT. Notre Dame. Ronnie Stanley. 1.06. player
