Denico Autry: Success

No one outside of the organization tweeted or raved about defensive lineman Denico Autry possibly earning extended snaps in 2015. He started the season as an unknown, but opposing players took note of him throughout the season.

Autry reached widespread acclaim when he sacked San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers in the end zone for a safety:

He displayed his skills as a solid defensive lineman before that televised matchup on Christmas Eve.

In 14 games and eight starts, he compiled three sacks and became a key component to the Raiders’ stout run defense.

At 6’5”, 273 pounds, Autry can line up on the interior as a defensive tackle or exterior as a defensive end. The front office and coaching staff have favored versatile players capable of playing multiple positions, and Autry fits the mold.
